  • Two years food service experience
  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • current within the past 12 months ServSafe Allergen and Food Handler Certifications
  • certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire if not currently certified

Job Duties

  • Prepares food for patients staff and visitors of the healthcare facility following safe cooking techniques
  • prepares food for multiple therapeutic diets and complies with state and federal laws and regulations related to food preparation in a healthcare environment
  • supports quality control measures such as recipe adherence and food quality consistency
  • follows hygiene and sanitation protocols strictly to prevent contamination and foodborne illness
  • collaborates with healthcare staff to meet patients dietary needs
  • maintains kitchen equipment cleanliness and safety
  • complies with the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement as represented by SEIU Local 1107
