Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers
  • Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
  • Stock and maintain adequate levels of food products at line stations to ensure smooth service
  • Portion food products prior to cooking according to recipes and portion sizes
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, and fryers
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods
  • Close the kitchen properly following the closing checklist and assist others in closing
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions and contribute suggestions for improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned such as dishwashing and bussing
