Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handlers card
- Ability to work full-time hours
- Willingness to work in a senior living community setting
- Good physical stamina for kitchen work
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts without late-night closing
- ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate is preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Passion for food and culinary arts
- Basic understanding of food safety principles
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Good communication skills
- Valid Food Handlers card
- ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals for the fine-dining restaurant and other culinary programs
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet community standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Collaborate with culinary team to develop menus and recipes
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Assist with kitchen training and development
