food handler permit or servsafe certification
one or more years of experience as a line cook preferred
ability to read and communicate effectively in english
ability to work independently and as part of a team
knowledge of safe food handling techniques
ability to prioritize workflow and meet deadlines
availability for weekend coverage
ability to stand for long periods
physical ability to lift and move heavy items
tolerance for extreme temperature environments

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

prepares and cooks food
serves customers
follows recipes and instructions in food preparation
prepares bulk food items and large-scale production meals
completes assembly of specialty meals and catered items
maintains an organized and sanitary work environment
interacts with customers in various venues including catering and retail
delivers patient meals
operates cash registers
stocks supplies
uses manual and automatic dishwashing machines
