Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior dietary experience in a healthcare or similar facility setting preferred
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, steamer, fryer, grill, electric mixer, dishwashing machines, microwave, food charts
  • Ability to comply with federal and state food safety laws and regulations
  • Capability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Full-time availability

Job Duties

  • Maintain an organized and sanitary environment
  • Ensure proper storage of food and supplies
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies
  • Ensure adherence to Joint Commission standards for quality of patient care
  • Operate kitchen equipment including stoves, ovens, steamers, fryers, grills, electric mixers, dishwashing machines, and microwaves
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to meet patients' dietary needs
