Job Requirements

  • must have or obtain ServSafe Certification from the National Restaurant Association within 60 days of hire
  • minimum of 6 months food service related experience
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to follow sanitation and safety protocols
  • strong communication skills
  • physical ability to perform cleaning and dishwashing tasks
  • commitment to providing age-appropriate food for pediatric patients

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous dietary or food service experience required
  • prior experience in food preparation and service
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • cash handling experience is a plus
  • ability to maintain sanitation guidelines and cleanliness in food service areas

Job Duties

  • participate in preparation and service of food to patients staff and customers
  • maintain department guidelines for sanitation
  • ensure food is age and developmentally appropriate for patients
  • operate kitchen equipment
  • handle cash transactions and cash register operations
  • perform dishwashing duties
  • provide grill service
  • conduct general cleaning of work areas
