Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of cooking or dietary experience
  • Ability to work afternoon shifts full time
  • Must be patient and have a cheerful disposition
  • Passion for working with seniors
  • Able to follow food safety guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to perform varied kitchen tasks as needed

Job Qualifications

  • One year of cook or dietary experience
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special diets preferred
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and patient demeanor
  • Experience in senior living or healthcare food service is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare appetizers, meals, desserts, snacks, and special event foods under the direction of the Executive Chef
  • Assist in serving meals as necessary
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Follow dietary guidelines and resident-specific food requirements
  • Collaborate with kitchen and dietary staff to ensure timely meal delivery
  • Support inventory and ingredient management
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors
