Job Requirements
- requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
- minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
- experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
- knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry food preparation
- ability to read, comprehend instructions, and converse comfortably with customers
- ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
- frequent exposure to water and chemical solutions
- frequent use of sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
- frequent work in hot environments
Job Qualifications
- minimum of 1 year cooking experience in a high-volume or casual dining environment
- knowledge of food preparation techniques including soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
- ability to read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
- effective communication skills with customers and team members
- understanding of HACCP standards and food safety
- capability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding kitchen environment
Job Duties
- prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
- perform station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and cooking eggs
- communicate ticket times and potential issues to management and servers
- ensure highest quality service to customers and associates
- clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
- practice food safety and sanitation compliant with HACCP standards
- operate kitchen equipment and manage food inventory and preparation
