Job Requirements

  • requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards
  • minimum of 1 year closely related cooking experience
  • experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
  • knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry food preparation
  • ability to read, comprehend instructions, and converse comfortably with customers
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • ability to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods
  • frequent exposure to water and chemical solutions
  • frequent use of sharp knives, utensils, and hot plates
  • frequent work in hot environments

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of 1 year cooking experience in a high-volume or casual dining environment
  • knowledge of food preparation techniques including soups, saute, broiler, fry, and pantry
  • ability to read and comprehend instructions and policy documents
  • effective communication skills with customers and team members
  • understanding of HACCP standards and food safety
  • capability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • perform station functions including fry, flat top griddle, pantry, and cooking eggs
  • communicate ticket times and potential issues to management and servers
  • ensure highest quality service to customers and associates
  • clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • practice food safety and sanitation compliant with HACCP standards
  • operate kitchen equipment and manage food inventory and preparation
