Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year cooking experience
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • prior cafeteria or large volume facility cooking experience preferred
  • familiarity with safety procedures in a food service environment
  • minimum age of 18 years

Job Duties

  • Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties and complete opening and closing checklists daily
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
  • safely use a variety of kitchen utensils including knives and other items
  • comfortably operate equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
  • comply consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, recipes, policies, and procedures
  • handle, store, label, and rotate products properly in accordance with state laws
  • stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations
  • demonstrate clear understanding of menu items
  • prep ingredients responsibly
  • multitask in a high-volume kitchen
  • handle hot and cold work conditions during food preparation
  • perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking, standing for extended periods
  • perform other related duties as assigned
