  • Minimum 1 year cooking experience
  • Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to handle physical requirements of the job
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Food preparation skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards
  • Minimum of 1 year related cooking experience
  • Experience in high volume and casual dining preferred
  • Knowledge of soups, saute, broiler, fry and pantry cooking
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions
  • Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist and stand for job functions

Job Duties

  • Prepare cooked foods following recipes and product directions
  • Taste products and follow menus accurately
  • Estimate food requirements and check production
  • Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Practice excellent food safety and sanitation complying with HACCP standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients
  • Stock, date, rotate, and check temperature of products
