Job Requirements
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education
- Must have Serve Safe or Sanitation certification
- Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
- Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Serve Safe or Sanitation certification
- Experience in food preparation in a healthcare or senior care setting preferred
- Ability to follow detailed dietary guidelines and recipes
- Effective communication skills in English
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations
Job Duties
- Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Director of Food Services
- Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies
- Review care plans to assure that current dietary information is consistent with foods served
- Prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and special diet orders
- Assist in inventorying and storing in-coming food, supplies, etc., as necessary
