Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree or 1-2 years of culinary experience required
- ServSafe certification or ability to obtain before or upon hire
- Strong understanding of sanitation and safety requirements in hospital kitchens
- Professional food service experience required
- Experience in healthcare or hospital setting preferred
- Availability for shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement in interactions with patients, families, and staff
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Complete daily tasks for meal preparation, cooking or clean-up, or catering needs as assigned by the Chef or Sous Chef
- Ensure meals are prepared following recipes explicitly
- Taste prepared meals to ensure quality and immediately correct issues before serving
- Ensure presentation of prepared foods meets highest quality standards
- Notify Chef or Sous Chef of inventory, equipment, safety or sanitation issues and correct when possible
- Maintain attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts
- Interact professionally with patients, families, and staff as required
