  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in a similar role
  • knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods
  • Food Handlers Certification required

Job Duties

  • prepares all food items according to standard recipes for the Team Member Cafeteria
  • ensures compliance with all hotel policies and procedures that relate to food and beverage as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • checks and controls the proper storage of product, monitoring age and condition of all food items to rotate and maintain highest quality
  • keeps all refrigeration equipment, storage and working areas clean and clutter free, complying with health department regulations
  • prepares daily requisitions for supplies and food items for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • performs other duties as assigned by Sous Chef or Executive Chef
