Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Two to four years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, caterer, or food service area
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and prep lists
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 30 pounds
- Ability to maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a team
- Basic English speaking and reading skills
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude
- Ability to adapt quickly
- Punctual and dependable
Job Qualifications

- Degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
- Two to four years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant, catering, or relevant food service environment
- Proactive, self-motivated and organized with the ability to prioritize
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures and commitment to personal hygiene
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
- Punctual and dependable
- Ability to read and retain recipes, prep lists, menus and signage
- Basic math skills
- Ability to speak and read basic English
- Ability to work well under stress and in a team environment
- Able to move quickly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Professional appearance and grooming
- Ability to stand, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, carry items, push carts, walk fast and bend down
- Experience working in close quarters in a professional kitchen
Job Duties
- Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Report for scheduled events on time and to assigned areas
- Fulfill opening and closing duties
- Follow prep lists and timelines provided by supervisors
- Prepare and deliver food safely using correct recipes
- Maintain cleanliness of walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage and kitchen work areas
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs and management
- Work collaboratively with team members and other service departments
- Maintain attention to detail to exceed expectations
- Know the kitchen layout and be able to direct staff and guests
- Adapt to reassignment within the venue as needed
- Work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
