Job Description

Le Pain Quotidien is a globally recognized bakery and restaurant brand dedicated to the tradition and joy of sharing daily bread. The phrase ‘Le Pain Quotidien’ translates to ‘the daily bread,’ which symbolizes much more than just food; it represents a way of life centered around community, warmth, and authentic culinary experiences. As warm and fragrant loaves emerge fresh from the ovens, guests come together at communal tables to partake in the timeless ritual of breaking bread, creating a welcoming and convivial atmosphere filled with conversation and connection. This unique dining experience blends artisanal bakery craftsmanship with thoughtfully sourced ingredients and an inviting ambiance that encourages guests to slow down and enjoy their meals in good company.

Le Pain Quotidien is part of Convive Brands, a New York-based hospitality group known for building and operating high-quality restaurant brands across the United States. Convive operates a portfolio of over 50 restaurants nationwide, including Le Pain Quotidien and Little Beet. As a patient and long-term investor-operator, Convive Brands is focused on growth through both organic development and acquisition, aiming to establish significant enterprise value while maintaining a commitment to quality, community, and sustainable practices.

The role available at Le Pain Quotidien is for a dedicated Kitchen Team Member who will be instrumental in delivering the brand’s commitment to exceptional food quality and a memorable dining experience. This position involves preparing and executing all menu items to exacting standards, including seasonal and special offerings, for both dine-in and to-go orders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and restaurant areas, and adept at supporting kitchen operations by assisting with inventory management and quality control. Working closely with the Kitchen Manager, the Kitchen Team Member ensures that the restaurant runs smoothly by adhering to established food safety protocols, proper handling procedures, and operational checklists.

The position offers an hourly wage in the range of $17.95 to $18.50, plus tips when eligible, reflecting the brand’s commitment to fair compensation. It also includes comprehensive benefits such as company-contributed health coverage with dental and vision plans, paid time off, a 401k plan with a generous match after 90 days, pre-tax commuter benefits where applicable, and employee discounts across all Convive Brands’ restaurants. Candidates who possess some restaurant experience, particularly with knife skills, and who demonstrate flexibility and the ability to be cross-trained across different kitchen stations, will thrive in this role. Furthermore, the workplace culture celebrates diversity and inclusivity, emphasizing equal opportunity for all employees regardless of background. Joining Le Pain Quotidien means becoming part of a passionate and supportive team dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences and fostering a warm community environment.
