The Cook I position at Oak Hill Country Club is a full-time, year-round role within the Culinary Department reporting directly to the Banquet Chef, Chef De Cuisine, and Sous Chefs. This role is essential in delivering exceptional food quality and service across all kitchen operations. The Cook I is responsible for planning, preparing, setting up, and providing quality service in all food production areas, covering a wide array of cooking methods including grill, saute, fish cookery, braising, poaching, and egg cooking. This position requires a high level of culinary skill, speed, and efficiency, ensuring all menu items meet the exact specifications outlined by the sous chef and club standards.
In this role, the Cook I must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of recipes and plating guidelines, maintaining an organized and clean workstation at all times. The role demands exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment. The Cook I is expected to contribute positively to the work culture, adhere strictly to safety protocols, and meet all local, state, and federal health regulations. Flexibility is key, as the role requires working varied shifts including early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during event weeks.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in culinary field
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- Must adhere to all safety and health guidelines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must maintain professional appearance and grooming standards
