Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Two to four years’ experience in fast-paced restaurant or relevant food service
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, carry items, push carts, and bend
  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
  • Basic English speaking and reading skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
  • Ability to read and understand recipes and menus
  • Proactive and able to work under pressure
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Maintain personal hygiene and well-groomed appearance
  • Punctuality and dependability
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

Job Qualifications

  • Degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred
  • Two to four years’ experience in fast-paced restaurant or relevant food service
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and organized with ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly
  • Punctual and dependable
  • Ability to read and retain recipes, prep lists, menus, and signage
  • Perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Basic English speaking and reading skills
  • Ability to work well with others in stressful environments
  • Able to move quickly and manage assigned duties
  • Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods

  • Experience working in fast-paced, professional kitchen environments

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
  • Report for scheduled event on time and to assigned area promptly
  • Fulfill assigned opening and closing duties
  • Report to supervisor for prep lists and task timelines
  • Execute tasks using correct recipes in a timely, safe manner
  • Maintain walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and work areas
  • Acquire extensive knowledge of menus including specials
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs, and management
  • Work collaboratively with fellow team members and other service departments
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly kitchen environment
  • Complete closing duties and checkout procedures with manager or supervisor
  • Know kitchen layout and back-of-house areas to assist staff and guests
  • Be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue
  • Adapt to reassignment to different locations as needed
  • Work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Practice safe work habits and follow all safety policies and procedures
