The Conversion Manager role at Oak View Group is a pivotal, flexible, shift-based position located at PeoplesBank Arena. This role is responsible for overseeing all event changeovers, which include transitioning between a wide array of events such as AHL hockey games, college basketball matches, concerts, graduations, theatrical performances, trade shows, and other public gatherings. The Conversion Manager coordinates the setup and teardown processes and manages union staff responsible for building cleanliness during non-event days. This position demands a proactive leader who can ensure that all custodial and operational tasks are executed efficiently, safely, and with a high standard of quality throughout the arena.
The Conversion Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining operating procedures related to event changeovers and post-event cleaning. They conduct daily inspections of the building's presentation and cleanliness while supervising custodial teams during off days. Moreover, this position entails managing inventory, maintaining equipment used in custodial and operational duties, and ensuring preventative maintenance is performed on heavy machinery, including scrubbers and carpet cleaners.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or technical degree preferred
- 3-5 plus years’ facility operations management experience
- At least one year of building changeover experience in arena or public assembly facility
- Knowledge of facility management and staff supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively
- Flexible schedule availability including nights weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with office PC applications
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment
- Understanding of safety data sheets and personal protective equipment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or technical degree from an accredited college university school preferred
- 3-5 plus years’ experience in facility operations management including at least one year of building changeover work in arena convention center or public assembly facility including setup housekeeping preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of facility management supervisory skills and experience in staff supervision
- Ability to function in a fast paced high-pressure environment and possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules and demanding hours including overnights weekends and holidays as required
- Proficiency with general office PC applications
- Familiarity with OSHA requirements
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize quickly
- Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills
- Basic understanding of how to use cleaning equipment
- Ability to operate scrubbers buffers carpet extractors etc
- Basic understanding of SDS
- Basic understanding of PPE
Job Duties
- Manage and oversee all event changeovers ensuring timely and efficient transitions between events including setup and teardown of equipment such as retractable seating dashers plexiglass basketball flooring hoops tables chairs etc
- Manage and oversee all post-event clean-ups to ensure the facility is properly restored after each event
- Develop and implement operating procedures related to changeovers and post-event cleaning
- Conduct daily building walks to ensure overall presentation and cleanliness while supervising union custodial staff on non-event days flexible shifts when no event changeovers or post-event clean-ups are scheduled
- Assist in the administrative work for part-time operational staff including changeover crews and custodial teams
- Implement preventative maintenance logs to ensure the upkeep of heavy machinery and cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and carpet cleaners
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
