Job Description

Dimension Hospitality is an independent franchisee that owns and operates The Westin Crystal City Reagan National Airport hotel located at 1800 Long Bridge Dr, Arlington, Virginia. As a standalone entity separate from Marriott International, Inc., Dimension Hospitality fully controls its employment policies including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, and benefits. This means that employees are hired directly by the franchisee and not Marriott International, ensuring the company has complete autonomy over its workforce management and workplace culture tailored to its unique business needs and local market conditions.

The Westin Crystal City Reagan National Airport is a premier hotel that caters to travelers and event clients alike, offering exceptional accommodations and event services in the vibrant Arlington area with direct access to Reagan National Airport. The hotel’s focus is on delivering top-tier hospitality experiences and successful, seamlessly executed group events. The Convention Services Manager role is vital in achieving the hotel’s business goals by overseeing convention and event services, driving catering revenue, and ensuring outstanding client satisfaction.

As a Convention Services Manager, you will serve as the primary liaison for groups after booking, assuring all details from event requirements to final execution are handled flawlessly in coordination with various hotel departments. Your role involves cultivating new catering accounts, re-engaging previous clients, and nurturing existing relationships to meet and exceed catering and related room revenue targets as outlined in the hotel’s strategic Business Plan. The position requires a meticulous, client-focused professional skilled in managing complex group functions from start to finish, guaranteeing an excellent experience for event attendees and planners.

Key responsibilities include confirming event requirements and function orders, coordinating logistical needs such as room blocks, setups, audio-visual equipment, and food and beverage services. You will lead pre-convention meetings to communicate updates and changes and act as the onsite contact during event execution to ensure smooth operations. Post-event duties include managing billing, collecting feedback, and conducting reviews to promote continuous improvement. Maintaining accurate records and timelines for all events is essential to your success in this role.

The ideal candidate is calm and solution-oriented under pressure, able to maintain organization and effective communication throughout the event lifecycle. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays is required to meet the dynamic schedules of group events. This full-time management position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000 and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision coverage, and a 401K plan. Dimension Hospitality is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive workplace.

Joining Dimension Hospitality means becoming part of a dedicated team that values client satisfaction and operational excellence. If you are passionate about delivering seamless and successful group events in a vibrant hospitality environment and meet the qualifications, you are encouraged to apply directly at www.dimensionhospitality.com. This role is an exciting opportunity to advance your career in hotel event management while contributing to the growth and success of a respected local hospitality franchisor.
