Job Description

Job Requirements
- Must obtain instructor certification in the platform to which assigned
- Must obtain a top secret clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Job Qualifications
- Must be or have been an E-2 naval air training and operating procedures standardization qualified pilot or have been an E-2 simulator instructor pilot within the previous five years
- Must have been designated as a Carrier Aircraft Plane Commander in the E-2 or Carrier Transport Plane Commander in the C-2 with level 300 ACTC qualification or greater
- Must have a minimum of 800 flying hours in the E-2 or the C-2 aircraft
- Must possess a bachelor's degree
- Must have no punitive actions resulting in termination of flight status
- Preferred to have been an E-2 or C-2 NATOPS instructor qualified pilot within the previous five years or an E-2 or C-2 simulator instructor pilot within the previous five years
- Preferred to have attained tactical designations including Instructor CAPC in the E-2, Element lead in the E-2, and E-2 Weapons and Tactics Instructor
Job Duties
- Conduct scheduled instructor-led and supported training for training device and systems training including briefs and debriefs using traditional and modern tools such as interactive white boards, computers and video projector systems
- Evaluate student training and mission performance as required
- Provide classroom instruction and recommendations for improvement, including tests and test materials, lesson plans, and trainee guides under current directives
- Provide academic instruction including instructor led lecture discussion for crew resource management, instrument ground school, self-paced computer aided instruction and computer based training
- Assist with simulator and training device inspections and certification programs and other special projects including mishap re-creation and testing
- Conduct training device operation instruction to personnel including briefing, debriefing and grading assessments
- Evaluate and record trainer performance in accordance with established criteria
- Maintain, assess, and recommend improvements to mission scenarios for effectiveness and currency
- Review curriculum and recommend improvements to the training program via appropriate training management officials
- Perform as NATOPS Instrument Evaluators, Assistant NATOPS Instructors, AW and EW instructors
- Provide other weapons system specific support responsibilities as listed in appendices
