Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Have one year of experience working with the public
- Possess good communication skills
- Ability to approach patrons with confidence and maintain a positive, friendly manner
- Ability to work independently on all shifts
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Possess a Class C driver’s license
- Ability to communicate with public safety and park officials
- Pass criminal background check
- Pass pre-employment physical examination
- Possess and provide proof of a valid Maryland Class C driver’s license with less than two points in the previous two years
- Legally authorized to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Have at least one year experience working with the public
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently on all shifts
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
- Possess and provide proof of a valid Maryland Class C driver’s license with less than two points in the previous two years
- Capable of using a two-way radio and phone
- Ability to communicate with public safety officials and park officials
- Ability to complete detailed reports
- Ability to manage multiple activities within a park site
Job Duties
- Monitor patrons entering the park and ask to see annual Dog Park permit tag for each dog
- Ensure that guests without an annual Dog Park permit purchase a daily guest pass and check for proper dog identification tags
- Allow only children over age twelve inside the off-leash area
- Ensure dogs remain on leashes in the parking lot and until inside Dog Park gates
- Provide general information to new patrons such as inclement weather updates and small dog area purpose
- Perform general maintenance including picking up loose trash and emptying trash cans
- Refill mutt mitts
- Ensure patrons clean up after their pets
