Known for fostering a supportive and collaborative workplace, Memorial Hermann Pearland Medical Center offers diverse growth opportunities for healthcare professionals and a culture that values respect, integrity, and continuous improvement.
The Contact Lens Receptionist role at Memorial Hermann Pearland is a pivotal position responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring seamless patient experiences from the moment they enter the facility until they leave. This role requires a person with exceptional communication skills who is adept at multitasking, handling both in-person and telephone interactions with patients and guests. The receptionist will assist with patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, copay processing, and various administrative tasks while consistently delivering superior customer service.
This position requires traveling occasionally to the League City location to provide front desk coverage, highlighting the need for flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will maintain patient confidentiality, adhere to healthcare policies, and comply with state and federal regulations, including OSHA standards, especially with responsibilities involving lens sterility. Additionally, the receptionist will manage inventory and stock related to contact lenses, ensuring all supplies are appropriately handled and authorized purchases are processed only through the contact lens director.

The work environment emphasizes cleanliness and organization, demanding that the waiting room and work area remain tidy at all times. Memorial Hermann Pearland prioritizes continuous education, offering opportunities for certifications such as JCAHPO and ABOC, enhancing professional development within the optometry and ophthalmology fields.
Offering a competitive salary with benefits such as holidays, paid time off, bereavement leave, a superior benefits package including medical, dental, 401(k), life insurance, long-term disability, and eye care benefits with optical discounts, this position stands out as both a challenging and rewarding career option. Candidates should be prepared for occasional Saturday shifts and demonstrate the ability to uphold ethical principles while providing empathetic care and ensuring patient confidentiality.
