Job Description
Located in Pearland, Texas, our healthcare establishment is committed to delivering exceptional eye care services to the community. As part of a trusted network of clinics, we provide comprehensive vision care with state-of-the-art technology and a compassionate approach to patient service. Our facility prides itself on a patient-centered environment where experienced professionals work collaboratively to ensure each individual receives the highest quality care and attention. We understand that every patient’s needs are unique, and our goal is to accommodate and exceed those expectations with a friendly, professional, and efficient team. The role we are currently offering is that of a Contact Lens Receptionist based at our Pearland location, with occasional travel to our League City office. This position plays a crucial role in the overall patient experience by managing a variety of front desk responsibilities including in-person and telephone patient interactions, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment processing, and patient education on contact lens use. The Contact Lens Receptionist serves as the welcoming face of our clinic and must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times, creating a positive environment for patients and guests. This employment opportunity is full-time and offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The position requires some weekend availability, specifically Saturday coverage may be necessary to meet patient care demands. Our receptionist contributes significantly to maintaining the operational flow of the clinic by ensuring detailed and accurate documentation of patient information as well as compliance with health and safety regulations such as OSHA standards for sterility. In addition to administrative duties, the role includes responsibilities such as ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the waiting area, managing inventory of lenses and supplies, and supporting clinical staff with specialized tasks like patient training on lens insertion and removal. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position. Our team values integrity, confidentiality, and a commitment to ethical practices, especially regarding patient information and regulatory compliance. Beyond the immediate team, the receptionist must interact effectively with patients, medical professionals, and office colleagues, ensuring that all messages and inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently. We proudly support employee growth with continuing education opportunities including certifications through JCAHPO and ABOC, along with a comprehensive benefits package that addresses health, financial, and personal well-being needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in medical front office operations within a supportive and professional healthcare environment.
