Job Requirements
- High school graduate
- minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience
- ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
- proficiency in computer systems relevant to patient registration and financial services
- ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work full-time day shifts
- willingness to provide coverage for PBX switchboard duties
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- minimum of 1 year of recent relevant experience
- associate degree preferred
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred
- Certified Revenue Cycle Rep (CRCR) preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to maintain positive working relationships with clinical partners
- ability to provide excellent customer service
- proficiency in cash handling and financial transaction processing
Job Duties
- Ensure patients are appropriately registered for all service lines
- perform eligibility verification
- obtain pre-certifications and authorizations
- make financial arrangements
- request and receive payments for services
- perform cashiering functions
- clear registration errors
- edit pre-bills
- maintain a close working relationship with clinical partners
- provide PBX (switchboard) coverage and support as needed
- participate in extending exemplary service to internal and external customers
- meet and exceed productivity standards determined by department leadership
- arrange relief coverage during extended absences
