The Construction Estimator role at Calvert Masonry Inc. offers an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic environment full-time and onsite at the primary office in Manassas, VA. This position is ideal for a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional ready to take full ownership of complex bids within the renovation and restoration division. Offering a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $110,000 per year based on experience, this role involves comprehensive quantity surveying, precise cost evaluation, and strategic pricing to ensure profitable project delivery. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for interpreting access restrictions, site logistics, and sequencing factors influencing project scope and pricing, mastering internal estimating software, and producing professional bids consistently. Beyond the technical execution, the role demands excellent communication skills to maintain ongoing client engagement, follow up on bid submissions, and transition approved bids seamlessly to project management.

The ideal candidate brings over a decade of construction estimating experience, particularly focused on renovation, restoration, and concrete repair projects, coupled with familiarity with ICRI standards and concrete repair practices. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of construction estimating experience focused on renovation, restoration, and concrete repair
  • familiarity with ICRI standards preferred
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work independently

  • ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in construction estimating, with strong emphasis on renovation, restoration and concrete repair
  • familiarity with ICRI standards and concrete repair practices is a plus
  • strong written and verbal communication skills with clients, vendors, and internal teams
  • ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
  • high school diploma or GED required
  • continuing education or certifications in construction, engineering, or estimating are beneficial
  • excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • demonstrated ability to maintain client trust and support business development goals

Job Duties

  • perform thorough and accurate quantity surveys for restoration and renovation projects
