The role of Associate Project Manager at Disney Parks and Resorts offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the successful execution of high-profile projects within this dynamic and creative environment. Serving as a pivotal team member, the Associate Project Manager guides projects through all phases—from initial planning and scope development to contracting, construction, and project closeout.

In this role, you will be responsible not only for managing project timelines and budgets but also for ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company governance protocols. You will be charged with maintaining accurate financial reporting and project documentation while collaborating closely with various internal teams, including procurement and operations, to implement projects cost-effectively. Effective communication and coordination with partners, clients, and leadership form an essential part of the position, ensuring that project status, schedules, and impacts are clearly conveyed at all levels.

The position offers competitive compensation with a hiring range between $91,000 and $121,900 annually in Florida, reflecting factors such as geographic location, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional incentives like bonuses or long-term incentive units may be included based on the level and position offered. Job Requirements

  • four plus years experience with construction methods and materials
  • experience interpreting design drawings and specifications
  • knowledge of construction project management processes including purchasing and contract management
  • experience with construction finance such as budgets and cash flows
  • proficiency with project management information system (PMIS) software

  • bachelor's degree in STEM or relevant construction experience preferred
  • two plus years experience in architecture, engineering, construction management, or commercial facilities construction preferred
  • experience with vendor negotiations, estimating, and bidding processes preferred

Job Duties

  • be responsible for overall project safety including contractor safety plan approval and compliance with OSHA and corporate governance requirements
  • manage the development and closeout of projects throughout the project life cycle
  • maintain accurate financial reporting and project documentation including budgets and estimated final costs
  • collaborate with partners and operators to implement projects in a cost-effective manner
  • develop bid strategies in coordination with Procurement including scope of work and contract preparation
  • lead project timelines by establishing planning tasks to ensure schedule compliance and desired completion dates
  • facilitate development meetings with clients and resolve partner constraints
  • communicate project status, schedule, financial, and guest impacts to partners, clients, and leadership
  • conduct presentations to clients and executives
  • utilize project and contract management systems daily
