Job Requirements

  • high school degree or equivalent
  • valid Minnesota Class B Driver's license with a passenger endorsement or ability to attain a CDL license with fees paid by Episcopal Homes
  • strong customer service skills with the ability and desire to work with older adults with varying abilities
  • patience and understanding of the senior population
  • ability to maintain a clean driving record
  • pass a background check
  • provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test

Job Duties

  • assist with on-campus events and activities including set up and tear-down before and after events
  • help with the recruiting process
  • encourage and engage residents to attend events
  • make reminder phone calls for events
  • join and help motivate residents throughout programming
  • transport elders to and from their personal rooms and event locations
  • drive residents safely to and from scheduled events
  • assist residents on and off the bus including those with walkers and wheelchairs
  • assist with packages on and off the bus
  • maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bus both inside and out
  • report any problems with the vehicle and coordinate maintenance as needed
  • perform other duties as assigned
