This particular position is based at one of the Autograph Collection’s standout properties located at 415 E Paces Ferry Rd NE in Atlanta, Georgia. Owned and operated independently by the Peregrine Hospitality Group, this hotel operates separately from Marriott International, with distinct control over its employment policies and practices. The hotel prides itself on delivering excellent service that aligns with the high standards of the Autograph Collection branded experiences, making it an exceptional place to build a career in event management.

The Conference Services Manager role is a vital leadership opportunity within the hotel, focused on servicing groups and nurturing existing accounts to support and amplify all qualified group business. This position’s primary responsibility is to ensure the flawless execution of meeting and event services that meet and exceed guest expectations, contributing directly to the hotel’s service excellence and revenue targets. The manager will act as the pivotal point of contact for clients during pre-planning and event execution stages, fostering enduring client relationships that encourage repeat business and growth.

This hands-on leadership role demands the ability to oversee every aspect of event logistics from conventions to group activities, ensuring that every detail is meticulously managed to guarantee client satisfaction and operational success. The Conference Services Manager will collaborate closely with various departments to deliver seamless event experiences, maintaining rigorous attention to detail in preparations like Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensuring staff is fully briefed and aligned ahead of events.

A key part of the role involves proactive relationship-building with key accounts, vendors, and local influencers to drive catering business growth and develop innovative strategies for upselling and promotional activities. The Conference Services Manager must be creative, positive, and forward-thinking to maximize event bookings, especially during slower periods, boosting both guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.

Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential, as the manager will also be responsible for fostering a collaborative, professional, and ethical work environment that promotes excellent teamwork and employee engagement. Commitment to brand standards, safety protocols, and Service Excellence Guidelines (such as the 4 Keys service standards) ensures that the conference and event services consistently meet the Autograph Collection’s premium quality benchmarks.

This is a full-time, management-level position with a competitive salary range of $69,000 to $71,000 annually, plus eligibility for incentives, reflecting the importance of this role in driving the hotel’s revenue and guest experience objectives. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of event management experience, preferably within Marriott or similar upscale hotel contexts.

To succeed in this role, candidates must have excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational capabilities, along with the ability to set high personal and team performance standards. The Conference Services Manager must be proactive and possess a focused, results-driven mindset that aligns with the overall mission and vision of the hotel. Physical requirements include flexibility for long hours and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, alongside strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Job Requirements

  • Previous event management experience of 2+ years with Marriott experience is preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee all aspects of meetings, conventions, group activities, and related logistics to ensure successful event execution and client satisfaction
  • execute and support the operational aspects of business booked
  • be main point of contact for clients throughout the pre-planning phase and onsite at the time of the event
  • build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, vendors, local influencers, and clients to drive catering business growth
  • create and present promotional, up-sell, and enhancement strategies to address need periods, maximize event bookings, and drive revenue
  • maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date files, develop customer profiles, and manage trace systems for superior service and follow-up
  • prepare resumes, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and lead pre-conference and staff meetings, ensuring all event requirements are clearly communicated
  • carry out supervisory responsibilities, foster teamwork, and promote a professional, courteous, and ethical work environment across departments
  • maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, brand standards, 4 Keys service standards, and safety and security procedures
  • perform all additional duties as assigned by management
