Job Requirements
- College degree preferably specializing in events or hotel management or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in catering and conference services preferred
- Exceptional time management skills to meet client and hotel deadlines
- Forward-thinking to exceed purpose and vision of assigned programs
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate within the division and hotel operation
- Ability to assist with guest inquiries within sales, marketing, and catering departments including handling high telephone volumes and walk-in site inspections
- Legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties
- Coordinate all requirements for various conference groups booked by the sales team and ensure successful execution of group and client satisfaction
- Negotiate with clients through the use of creative and attractive menu presentations and event proposals to achieve maximum revenue/profit potential and contractual fulfillment while satisfying client needs
- Coordinate with the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to maximize revenues
- Finalize requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication both written (resumes, BEO, daily reports) and personal contact with all departments for successful events
- Supervise execution of banquet events, review all function space with banquet manager and head house attendant when necessary, ensure client satisfaction at event outset
- Find solutions to challenges and glitches during group events, keep Director of Catering and Planning Committee informed of problems or unusual matters for prompt corrective action
