Job Requirements

  • More than two years of post high school education
  • One to two full years of employment in a related position
  • Working knowledge of banquet and catering policy and operations
  • Proficient with computer equipment
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication skills for guest and team interaction
  • Ability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for long periods
  • Capacity to service clients promptly
  • Comfortable working in varied temperature environments

Job Qualifications

  • More than two years of post high school education
  • One to two years of relevant experience in event coordination or hospitality
  • Working knowledge of banquet and catering food and beverage services
  • Proficient in computer usage
  • Strong supervisory and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Duties

  • Plan and manage details for large group bookings
  • Participate in negotiating meetings for rates and event requirements
  • Ensure maximum utilization of rooms and meeting spaces
  • Execute all aspects of event planning from contract signing onward
  • Lead and coordinate hotel staff participation in event delivery
  • Follow up promptly on all signed and contracted business
  • Maintain accurate and organized event documentation
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Coordinate program details including space, audio-visual, menus, and decorations
  • Manage function details and handle customer complaints
  • Oversee billing and financial processes for group events
  • Monitor client event budgets and maximize revenues
  • Attend and lead pre-conference meetings
  • Close out group events and process commissions
