As a part of the global Marriott brand, Tucson Marriott University Park offers world-class amenities, contemporary accommodations, and extensive event spaces that cater to business conferences, social celebrations, and large-scale meetings. This hotel proudly embraces the Atrium SPIRIT, a core set of values encompassing Service, Perseverance, Inclusion, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork, which drive the organization’s culture and guest interactions. These values create a workplace where employees are encouraged to grow professionally while continuously striving to deliver unparalleled service and memorable experiences for guests.

The Conference and Events Manager role at Tucson Marriott University Park is designed for an energetic professional passionate about creating unforgettable event experiences. This full-time position offers a competitive compensation rate of $25.90 per hour and involves collaborating directly with clients to tailor detailed event plans that exceed expectations. The Conference and Events Manager takes a leadership role in banquet coordination, ensuring all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are created and distributed in a timely manner to facilitate smooth event execution. Managing contracts and guestroom blocks effectively to prevent attrition charges is a critical duty, alongside handling payments from inception to completion with accuracy and clarity.

Supporting the Sales and Marketing teams with sales activities and revenue analysis is also a key responsibility. The role demands a flexible, adaptive approach given the unpredictable nature of events, which often extend beyond typical working hours.

Tucson Marriott University Park’s commitment to its employees is evident through its comprehensive benefits package and career growth focus. Employees enjoy medical, dental, and vision insurance options, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid time off programs. Additional perks include tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, exclusive Atrium Traveler and brand discounts, and opportunities for community service and volunteering. This culture of recognition and teamwork fosters an inspiring environment where staff members are valued and supported. By joining as a Conference and Events Manager, candidates become part of a dynamic team dedicated to excellence and innovation in hospitality event management. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to advance their career within a reputable hotel brand while making a lasting impact through extraordinary event delivery.
