Within this dynamic environment, the role of Concierge at 500 Lake Shore Drive is vital. The front desk is the heartbeat of the building, setting the tone for residents and visitors alike. As Concierge, you will be the first point of contact—a face that radiates professionalism, warmth, and reliability. Your role involves much more than greeting guests; you will manage a variety of responsibilities that directly impact residents' perception and satisfaction.

Your daily duties will include welcoming residents and guests with courtesy, managing visitor announcements, and handling deliveries with meticulous care. The lobby environment must always be inviting, peaceful, and orderly—a reflection of the quality services offered by RMC. Supporting leasing tours and resident events with a polished demeanor ensures that the community feels connected and represented. You will conduct routine checks of the lobby’s lighting, music, scents, and overall ambiance to maintain an optimal atmosphere.

Security is an essential component of this position. You will be responsible for monitoring building camera systems, logging activities for vendors and contractors, and responding to any safety or privacy issues with calm professionalism. In addition to security, you will oversee package management, keeping detailed records using digital logging tools, and coordinate amenity bookings and service requests effectively.

The concierge role extends to move-in and move-out support where you will prepare the building’s elevators and communal areas to facilitate smooth transitions. By notifying the Resident Manager about unscheduled moves, you help maintain order and communication transparency. Your support in leasing and visitor assistance by warmly welcoming prospective residents and facilitating their interactions with the leasing team adds another layer of service excellence.

You will also actively engage with the residents by sharing local tips, event information, and maintaining community bulletin boards. Developing a thorough understanding of resident preferences enables you to personalize experiences and foster a sense of community. Emergency response readiness is critical in this role; following established procedures calmly and efficiently ensures safety and peace of mind for all residents.

Teamwork and professionalism round out the responsibilities. Keeping the front desk organized, participating in daily team huddles, and demonstrating emotional intelligence are crucial to the smooth operation of the building’s service team. This position also requires willingness to accept and excel in special assignments when necessary.

This Local 1 Union position at Related Management Company offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about excellent customer service and community engagement. If you thrive in a vibrant environment where your role impacts daily living experiences and you enjoy a mix of hospitality, security, and administrative tasks, this concierge role at 500 Lake Shore Drive is an ideal career step.
