Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior experience required
- Mathematical aptitude suitable for cash handling
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and telephone use
- Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform light lifting up to 25 lbs
- Willingness to maintain a courteous and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle stressful and emotional customer service situations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of standard cash handling procedures
- Experience in customer service and dealing directly with the public
- Fluent in oral and written English
- Ability to read written communications and monochrome computer screens
- Proficiency in operating computer, calculator, and telephone keyboards
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
- Skilled in multitasking and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to use tact and understanding in handling various customer service challenges
- Highly organized with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Greet and check-in arriving guests using manual and computerized methods
- Facilitate guest departures by managing check-out procedures accurately
- Calculate and post guest accounts and other financial transactions with proper cash handling
- Answer inquiries and accept reservations in person and via telephone using suggestive selling techniques
- Maintain good customer relations by providing knowledgeable responses about in-house and area events
- Operate PBX equipment to manage calls, schedule wake-up calls, and page guests
- Control cash transactions and maintain responsibility for personal bank according to hotel policy
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
