Currently, MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a part-time Concierge to join their team. This role is vital in shaping the first impressions of visitors, families, and residents by providing friendly and professional front desk services. The position’s schedule typically covers Saturday through Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M., with specific hours discussed at the interview stage. The pay range for the Concierge role is competitive, offering between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour, and the position is classified as non-exempt.

The Concierge plays a key role in greeting guests, managing correspondence, answering phone calls promptly, and assisting residents and families with non-confidential information. They are responsible for various administrative tasks such as sorting and distributing mail, typing and filing documents, and ensuring efficient communication within the community. The ideal candidate must exhibit warmth, patience, and professionalism, demonstrating concern and compassion toward residents and their families.

Furthermore, this role requires adherence to federal and state regulations, company policies, and the strict interpretation of residents' rights. Using office equipment like computers, telephones, copy machines, calculators, and postage machines is a daily function of the Concierge, showcasing the need for proficiency in basic administrative technologies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • at least one year of front desk or reception experience preferred
  • knowledge of typing, filing, telephone systems, and office equipment
  • ability to demonstrate core values of love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, and respect
  • friendly, courteous, patient, and understanding demeanor
  • ability to meet deadlines and organize workload
  • ability to communicate effectively and work well with residents, families, and staff

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstration of our core values: love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, respect
  • at least one year preferred of front desk/reception related experience
  • high school or equivalent preferred but not required
  • typing, filing, use of copy machine, telephone systems, intercommunication system and office equipment knowledge
  • be friendly, courteous, patient, understanding, and work well with people including staff, residents, and families
  • meet deadlines, organize, and prioritize the workload

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors and family members and provide non-confidential information requested
  • answer the telephone promptly using the appropriate greeting for the community
  • sort mail and distribute to appropriate departments
  • type and file correspondence and other information as needed
  • adhere to and interpret resident's rights
  • adhere to and interpret the personnel policies

  • express concern and compassion for residents and families
  • escort people, if necessary, to resident's suites and other areas
