Job Description

Milestone is a prominent senior living operator recognized for being one of the fastest-growing companies in this sector. With over a century of combined experience in both the senior living industry and hospitality services, Milestone prides itself on fostering an environment that emphasizes teamwork, creativity, and making meaningful impacts for both its residents and staff. The company’s approach is centered around delivering exceptional customer service and creating a community where older adults feel supported, valued, and engaged. This dedication has made Milestone a respected name in senior living, championing the blend of professional care with warm, personalized attention.

Milestone operates senior living communities where the focus goes beyond basic residency. The environment is designed to enrich residents’ lives by providing comfortable, clean, and inviting spaces coupled with comprehensive support services. Milestone’s staff members, from administrative personnel to care providers, work collaboratively to ensure each resident enjoys a dignified lifestyle that honors their individuality and needs.

About the Role

The Concierge (Receptionist) position at Milestone is a vital frontline role responsible for creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere within the community’s lobby area. This is an on-call employment opportunity that is essential for supporting various operational functions including sales, marketing, and business office activities. As the first point of contact, the Concierge will warmly greet residents, families, visitors, and employees, addressing inquiries and providing information that enhances their experience.

This role requires multitasking and organizational skills to manage lobby operations efficiently, answer and route incoming calls professionally, and maintain an inviting setting that reflects Milestone's high standards. The Concierge also plays a supportive role in marketing and sales efforts by assisting with tours, managing inquiries, and contributing to the Lead Management Program. Additionally, the position involves aiding the business office with resident documentation and filing tasks.

Working closely with residents, the Concierge encourages participation in community activities and supports policies designed to protect the wellbeing of older adults, including reporting any suspected elder maltreatment or abuse. This role demands a compassionate, communicative, and resourceful individual who enjoys working with older adults and is committed to fostering a positive environment for everyone at Milestone.

The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in basic office software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and email, and hold current First Aid certification. Previous experience in customer service or phone answering is preferred but not mandatory. Milestone offers various perks and benefits such as comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees, a 401(k) plan with employer match, generous paid time off, pet insurance, employee assistance programs, and other voluntary benefits. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for this position.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to be the welcoming face of an established senior living community and contribute to a team that values inclusion and diversity. Milestone is dedicated to creating an inclusive workplace and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Individuals who are passionate about providing outstanding customer service in a senior living environment and enjoy making a positive difference in the lives of older adults will find this position fulfilling and rewarding.
