The Concierge role at HumanGood’s Hillside Community in McMinnville, Oregon, is a full-time position that plays a vital part in supporting the care and protection of residents in Residential Living. Under general supervision, the Concierge develops an understanding of residents' interests and needs, helping them maximize their independence and participation within the community. This position requires maintaining residents' privacy and rights while coordinating guest services, assisting residents, visitors, and vendors, and managing communication through telephone, computer, fax, and copy machines. The Concierge also handles general clerical duties and operates the telephone console or switchboard. As an ambassador of the company, the Concierge is expected to present a professional image to ensure resident satisfaction and support the overall mission of HumanGood. The pay range starts at $17 per hour and may vary depending on experience, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering exceptional service and support to senior residents.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year experience working with elderly requiring memory support
  • Prefer three years clerical experience
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft suite
  • Ability to operate telephone consoles and office equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents’ privacy

Job Qualifications

  • One year experience working with elderly requiring memory support or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Prefer three years clerical experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Proficient computer skills using Microsoft suite and desktop publishing software
  • Experienced in faxing, copying, and using a paper shredder
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and ensure resident satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Provide support in the care and protection of residents in Residential Living
  • Develop awareness of residents’ interests and needs to assist with independence and participation
  • Ensure residents' privacy and rights are maintained
  • Coordinate guest services by assisting residents, visitors, and vendors
  • Disseminate information in person or via telephone
  • Operate telephone console or switchboard, computer, fax machine, and copy machine
  • Perform general clerical duties
