Job Description
This hiring establishment is a senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and a warm, welcoming environment for its residents, their families, and visitors. As a reputable community focused on enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens, it emphasizes professionalism, hospitality, and courtesy in every interaction within the community. The community is committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and inviting atmosphere, ensuring that both residents and guests feel valued and comfortable from the moment they enter or call the facility. The community also prioritizes compliance with state regulations, focusing on maintaining a safe environment for all associates and residents.
The community concierge role serves as the frontline ambassador and administrative support within this senior living environment. This position demands a high degree of professionalism and interpersonal skills, as the concierge is the first point of contact for visitors, residents, family members, and associates either in person or over the phone. The role involves welcoming guests warmly, managing incoming calls courteously, and ensuring that reception and lobby areas are hospitable and immaculate. Beyond hospitality duties, the concierge performs vital administrative tasks such as maintaining visitor logs, updating resident face sheets using the Yardi system, and inputting resident assessment data and work orders into respective platforms. This administrative responsibility requires strong organization, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
In addition, the concierge is expected to coordinate appointments and services for residents, collect and distribute mail, assist with community brochures, and provide support to other departments, including business office and community relations, when needed. The role necessitates collaboration with various community staff to keep the environment in pristine, show-ready condition, ensuring that all areas from the driveway entrance through to the lobby reflect the community’s high standards for first impressions and resident experience.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, possess basic computer literacy including data entry and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, and have a genuine passion for working with senior citizens. Effective communication at all organizational levels and a cheerful, patient, and tactful disposition are essential. This full-time position also requires adherence to dress codes and professional decorum, with an emphasis on safety, responsiveness, and ownership of community residents' well-being. Overall, the community concierge plays a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming atmosphere while providing critical administrative support, ensuring the community operates smoothly and effectively.
