Job Description

The Waterford, a Sonida Senior Living community located in Virginia Beach, VA, is a premier retirement community offering compassionate assisted living and memory care services tailored for senior residents. Known for its commitment to quality care and enhancing the lives of its residents, The Waterford blends a warm, enriching environment with advanced technology to provide the best possible experience for both its residents and staff. This community prioritizes resident well-being, comfort, and safety, making it a trusted choice for families seeking reliable senior care.

At The Waterford, the integration of cutting-edge technology is a key factor that sets it apart from other senior living communities. The use of SafelyYou, an AI video technology designed to detect and prevent falls, enables early intervention and creates a safer living space. Advanced electronic health record (EHR) technologies streamline care assessments, eliminate redundant paperwork, and allow staff to focus more on personalized resident care. Sage technology optimizes the call light response times, significantly improving service and attentiveness, while Microsoft Power BI offers comprehensive data insights to support informed decision-making. These innovations reflect the community's dedication to both resident safety and enhancing operational efficiency.

This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals seeking a rewarding career in senior living. The role available is for a Receptionist, who will be a vital part of The Waterford's welcoming and supportive team. The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and vendors, ensuring every interaction reflects the community's high standards of hospitality and care. Duties include managing incoming calls, directing visitors, handling mail and deliveries, and addressing customer questions with patience and professionalism.

The Waterford offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' well-being and work-life balance. Benefits include competitive wages, health and dental insurance, life and disability coverage, as well as vision care. Employees have access to a 401k retirement savings plan with a discretionary company match based on annual performance. Additional supports include paid time off available from day one, paid training opportunities, an employee assistance program, and flexible scheduling to accommodate diverse needs. The company also provides support for educational advancement and learning opportunities to foster career growth.

Recognizing the importance of employee contributions, The Waterford has implemented paid referral programs for both team members and residents, reinforcing a positive, community-minded work culture. Employees benefit from dependent care and flexible spending accounts, making it easier to manage personal responsibilities. Overall, The Waterford is committed to creating a supportive environment where team members can thrive while providing exceptional service to senior residents.
