Job Description
Vitality Living is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as a Concierge at the Columbia community. This position is PRN, providing flexible part-time opportunities for those looking to contribute positively to senior living experiences. The Concierge serves as the first point of contact at the reception desk, managing visitor interactions with professionalism and warmth. Responsibilities include handling administrative tasks, responding to inquiries from residents and family members, and communicating pertinent information to the Executive Director or Business Office Director. The role requires a calm and professional demeanor, especially when managing emergency situations. Additionally, the Concierge is responsible for organizing incoming mail and ensuring effective communication within the community. Team members in this role participate in onboarding, ongoing training, and team meetings, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional growth. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members of the organization
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level in which they are currently functioning
- Meet state or provincial health related requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage reception and administrative tasks
- Experience in customer service or community engagement preferred
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills including patience, tact, and enthusiasm
Job Duties
- Manage reception desk continuously during assigned period and perform administrative duties
- Respond to residents' family members' questions and concerns and share important information with the Executive Director or Business Office Director as is appropriate
- Respond and appropriately handle emergency situations that may arise in a calm, professional manner
- Organize incoming mail and ensure that it is distributed to the appropriate person
- Attend and participate in onboarding and annual training, in-services and team member meetings as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned by Business Office Director
