Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum six months to one year of relevant experience in reception or concierge roles preferably in upscale environments
  • Knowledge of telephone reception systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 15 lbs and perform tasks requiring walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies
  • Use of good body mechanics
  • Ability to maintain a neat and orderly front desk area
  • Availability to work overnight shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic telephone reception systems and techniques
  • Ability to answer calls in a pleasant and courteous manner
  • Provide clerical support and represent the residence professionally
  • Ability to respond calmly to emergency situations
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate and act upon spoken and unspoken needs of residents
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months to one year prior reception, concierge, or executive assistant experience in settings such as resorts or upscale hotels with concierge services preferred
  • Typing or word processing experience preferred
  • Physical ability to handle tasks including lifting at least 15 lbs, pushing and pulling carts, walking, sitting, standing, and performing various physical movements as required

Job Duties

  • Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living to residents, visitors, co-workers and the surrounding community
  • Have an active role in growing community occupancy by representing and interacting positively with potential residents, family members and professionals
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities with a positive attitude
  • Handle incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner and direct them accordingly
  • Greet guests and visitors in a professional and courteous manner and direct them accordingly
  • File correspondence
  • Sort mail
  • Record and type guest meal charges
  • Maintain and file resident safety sheets
  • Type correspondence as needed
  • Coordinate front desk activities
  • Maintain the front desk in a neat and orderly manner
  • Respond to emergency situations by contacting appropriate parties such as 911, fire department, police
  • Attend required in-service training sessions and orientations
  • Respond to residents’ needs in a courteous manner
  • Update communication log book regularly
  • Maintain community brochures and stock
