The Concierge Service department at Advocate Health's Mount Pleasant AMC location is currently seeking a full-time Concierge Service Manager. This role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a standard 40-hour workweek and eligibility for comprehensive benefits. Compensation ranges from $19.45 to $29.20 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This leadership position is crucial to ensuring a positive and seamless initial experience for visitors and patients at the medical center. The Concierge Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including orienting and training new employees, managing workflow, and maintaining department security through control of keys and access passes. A key part of their duties involves greeting customers, assessing their needs, and ensuring that their arrivals and departures are smooth and well-coordinated with hospital departments and services. This person effectively handles transportation requests whether for taxis, buses, or valet services and works collaboratively with hospital van services to meet visitor needs. The role demands strong interpersonal skills to respond to customer inquiries, provide directions, escort visitors as needed, and maintain a professional, welcoming environment that reflects the hospital's commitment to excellent patient and guest experiences. In addition, the Concierge Manager consistently monitors workplace safety and cleanliness and promptly communicates any safety or security concerns to the Public Safety Services Department. Job Requirements
- High school graduate
- Minimum 2 years of experience in service management or similar role in a large public facility
- Proven leadership abilities

Job Duties
- Orients and trains new employees and provides ongoing instructions
- Keeps the manager informed of employees performance and makes recommendations concerning production and performance
- Provides input into performance review process and assigns tasks to employees
- Coordinates and maintains workflow amongst employees
- Responsible for all department keys, pass cards, and security items
- Greets customers, assesses their immediate needs, and manages the initial impression of the medical center
- Reports any security or safety issues to Public Safety Services immediately
- Assures working area is clean, safe, and free from obstacles
- Assists in maintaining smooth traffic flow at facility entrances
- Assists customers with transportation needs including taxi vouchers, bus passes, and valet services
- Offers assistance such as helping customers out of vehicles, locating wheelchairs, providing directions, and escorting to destinations
- Utilizes other hospital departments to verify visitor destinations and remains with customers if alone or in a wheelchair
