The role of Concierge Host at The Valorian is integral to maintaining and enhancing the hotel’s distinguished guest experience, particularly at the White Rabbit Sky Lounge. This position blends the responsibilities of a luxury hotel concierge with those of a VIP nightlife host, placing the Concierge Host at the forefront of guest interaction. The Concierge Host manages the complete lifecycle of each reserved guest engagement, from the initial contact to the guest’s graceful farewell, ensuring a seamless and memorable visit.

This role requires handling parties of six or more, coordinating closely with the Sales & Catering team, and managing table reservations from the venue’s booking platform as well as approved outside promoters. The successful candidate is expected to embody the poise and professionalism of a five-star hotelier while bringing the vibrant energy typical of a top-tier day club host. Key traits include warmth, polish, and a relentless anticipation of guest needs.

The Concierge Host acts as the key contact for reserved guests, providing personalized and anticipatory service from arrival through seating to departure. In addition to welcoming guests, the Concierge Host ensures that Sales & Catering manifests are reviewed thoroughly and that VIP guests sourced from sales channels receive exceptional service.

The Concierge Host confirms guest details, coordinates with external promoters, and ensures that all data is complete and verified. The position also has a revenue generation component, wherein the Concierge Host actively builds and maintains relationships with recurring high-value guests, driving direct bookings and enjoying a 10% incentive on all personally booked and hosted tables.

Beyond guest care and sales collaboration, the Concierge Host must embody the brand standards of the White Rabbit Sky Lounge, maintain an in-depth understanding of cocktail offerings and weekly events, and participate in ongoing team training and meetings. This active, on-floor role requires resilience and adaptability to thrive in a busy, high-energy hospitality environment.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience in luxury hospitality or nightlife
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks
  • Proficiency with reservation platforms like UrVenue or equivalent
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • California Responsible Beverage Service certification or willing to obtain within 30 days
  • Physical stamina to stand and move for long shifts
  • Willingness to work varied hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an upscale hospitality setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage group guest experiences with professionalism
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple reservations simultaneously
  • Comfortable navigating reservation and table management systems
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • California RBS certification required or obtainable within 30 days
  • Ability to work in active, noisy, crowded venues
  • Prior experience in concierge, guest services or VIP host roles preferred
  • Existing relationships in Los Angeles entertainment or luxury lifestyle community preferred
  • Bilingual communication skills a plus
  • Working knowledge of wine, spirits and craft cocktail culture preferred

Job Duties

  • Welcome all reserved parties of six or more with personalized, anticipatory service from point of arrival to table seating
  • Serve as the single point of contact for each guest party throughout their entire visit
  • Maintain a composed, polished demeanor that reflects luxury concierge standards
  • Proactively identify and resolve guest concerns
  • Partner with Sales & Catering team to execute group bookings
  • Review Sales & Catering manifests and confirm table assignments, minimums, and VIP notes
  • Serve as on-floor liaison for Sales-sourced guests
  • Communicate feedback to Sales for renewals and upsells
  • Manage and confirm table reservations through booking platform
  • Coordinate with outside promoters and verify their reservations
  • Ensure accuracy of all reservation records
  • Develop and maintain personal guest book of high-value patrons
  • Drive direct table reservations
  • Collaborate with beverage team for upselling opportunities
  • Embody the White Rabbit Sky Lounge brand identity
  • Maintain knowledge of cocktail program and weekly events
  • Participate in team meetings and training
  • Maintain high visibility and active presence on the rooftop
