The American Cancer Society is currently seeking a part-time Concierge to join their Salt Lake City, Utah team. This essential role serves as the front-facing representative for guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome while managing front desk operations. The Concierge is responsible for guest check-in and check-out, answering inquiries about lodge amenities and community resources, and coordinating transportation and the EMPOWER Program services. This position is critical in maintaining a safe, supportive environment for visitors and facilitating a smooth and pleasant experience. The work schedule is Sundays through Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, offering a competitive hourly wage of $18.59. The role requires individuals who are strong communicators, capable of multitasking, proficient in customer service, and comfortable working independently.
In addition to interacting with guests, the Concierge will monitor lobby security and ensure safety protocols are upheld. They must respond efficiently to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills and a calm demeanor under pressure. Working in this role involves considerable physical activity, including standing and walking for extended periods and sometimes assisting guests with luggage or transportation logistics. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and multitask
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
- excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- minimal travel required
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and move luggage or packages occasionally
- physical endurance to handle fast-paced environment demands
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- additional education or training in hospitality management or customer service is a plus
- previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a related field is preferred
- minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and multitask
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems
