The Concierge position at American House Senior Living Communities plays a crucial role in ensuring the exceptional quality of life for residents by managing the building's operations and integrity during weekends and assigned schedules. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Concierge functions as the primary point of contact for residents, guests, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and handling various administrative and operational duties. This role demands professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. The Concierge is responsible for greeting guests, answering a multiline telephone, addressing resident concerns, scheduling appointments, receiving and sorting mail and deliveries, and supporting weekend activities within the community.
This position also requires proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications. The Concierge must be knowledgeable about the BILD sales system and ready to execute emergency procedures as necessary during their shift. Furthermore, the role involves important safety duties, including notifying the Executive Director of emergencies and overseeing any required emergency actions. Reporting maintenance needs and other building concerns to the Assistant Director is also an essential task to maintain the community’s standards. The position requires frequent movement throughout the community premises, including standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities to support the dynamic environment of senior living. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- availability to work every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform physical activities intermittently during shift

Job Duties
- Ensure the highest quality of customer service is available for residents
- answer a multiline telephone, screen and direct calls
- greet guests and residents and direct to correct destination
- respond to and address resident concerns during shift
- provide general administrative and clerical support
- schedule appointments
- receive and sort mail and deliveries
- carry out emergency procedures during shift
- use the BILD sales system proficiently
- oversee weekend activities
- notify Executive Director of emergency situations
- note and report areas in need of repair to Assistant Director
- perform other duties assigned by Executive Director
