The successful candidate will act as the face and voice of the facility, ensuring excellent communication and operational efficiency throughout the day shift. As the primary point of contact, this receptionist will be responsible for answering all incoming calls, greeting visitors, residents, and staff, and performing essential clerical duties. This role demands a high level of organizational skill, an ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and the interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with many different people every day.\n\nIn addition to managing telephone communications, the receptionist will maintain visitor and resident sign-in/out logs, monitor alarm and alert systems, manage mail distribution, schedule appointments for residents, coordinate staff schedules, and assist with event coordination. This position also involves emergency notification responsibilities and the need to stay vigilant to ensure the security and safety of all facility occupants. Familiarity with medical terminology, experience with common office software like Word, Excel, and Outlook, and strong written and verbal communication skills are important for success in this role. Job Duties
- Acts as front entrance receptionist and maintain visitor and resident sign in/out log
- Place and answer telephone calls and ensure calls are forwarded to proper extension
- Communicate with visitors and residents and provide information assistance
- Answer intercom calls and relay messages to Enriched Living Staff and monitor Roam Alert and Helpcal systems making appropriate notifications via radios
- Check mail and sort for appropriate staff correspondence
- Take and give messages for other departments
- Make appointments for residents and keep track of medical appointment schedules
