Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year direct customer service experience
  • ability to manage multiple guest requests simultaneously under pressure
  • strong prioritization and multitasking abilities
  • calm demeanor when handling stressful situations
  • excellent communication skills in English
  • computer literacy with knowledge of hotel management systems
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • capability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods
  • proficiency in using desktop computer, telephone, fax, copier, and two-way radio equipment

Job Qualifications

  • one year of direct customer experience
  • experience in community organizations or roles representing city attractions acceptable
  • previous hotel front office or guest services experience preferred
  • developed knowledge of local area attractions
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations with calm and welcoming demeanor
  • customer service oriented with a desire to create memorable guest experiences
  • clear and pleasant communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • computer proficiency including accurate information input
  • ability to work cohesively with co-workers across departments
  • experience with Opera software a plus
  • willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • be fully acquainted with the different points of interests
  • arrange bookings and reconfirm airline tickets
  • assist in arranging restaurant reservations and limousines as required by guests
  • ensure delivery of parcels, mail, and special items to guest rooms
  • maintain public areas including the lobby in collaboration with housekeeping
  • accept special duties as assigned by management
  • set up amenities for guests celebrating special occasions
  • create special packages including pre-calls from concierge and specialized amenities
  • interact with other departments to satisfy guest needs
  • speak with guests in a friendly and warm manner to make them feel welcome
  • proactively seek ways to improve the hotel experience for guests
  • handle special requests such as flowers, telegrams, rental cars, forwarding luggage, and private cars
