Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior customer service experience
  • proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite
  • ability to operate community-specific software
  • excellent communication skills

  • willingness to participate in required health screenings
  • passing a drug test excluding marijuana

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents
  • extend a warm welcome and greeting
  • offer and provide beverages to visitors and guests
  • ensure that community safety protocols are in place
  • contact the Director of Sales (DOS), Executive Director (ED), or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure minimal wait times
  • greet potential candidates interested in Sunrise careers and direct them to apply online or capture candidate information into the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • answer incoming telephone and resident calls within two to three rings with appropriate community greeting and identification
  • take complete messages with pertinent information and communicate them to the intended recipient
  • offer community overview to callers and direct them accordingly
  • manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
  • send get well cards to residents in the hospital
  • order Memory Flower for residents who have passed away
  • send sympathy cards to families and responsible parties as needed
  • order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in
  • order guest meals for resident and family on move-in day
  • create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
  • support DOS with initial inquiry calls and encourage interest in Sunrise Senior Living
  • assist DOS with Customer Relationship Management lead tracking database entry
  • perform administrative duties related to resident move-in process
  • keep desk and entry area neat and organized
  • monitor Bistro area for cleanliness, ensure fresh coffee, fruit, popcorn and snacks are available
  • maintain and clean popcorn machine daily
  • keep music playing throughout the day
  • ensure front desk is covered when stepping away
  • partner with community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • practice safety procedures including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures
  • maintain Resident Roster, Team Member Roster, and work schedules for emergencies
  • champion Safe Leaving Program and procedures
  • respond to emergencies as per policies
  • ensure guests and residents sign in and out properly
  • maintain high-risk elopement list with photographs
  • maintain heightened awareness of entry and exit of residents
  • update resident phone list and roster daily
  • prepare meal tickets and tally meal counts
  • collect and process meal ticket money
  • organize and distribute mail
  • collect and distribute newspapers
  • post and display Daily Menu
  • maintain resident form for miscellaneous credits
  • perform computer data entry and administrative duties for recruitment
  • monitor and order office supplies
  • track and disperse paychecks
  • participate actively as a team member committed to team goals
  • demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
  • commit to serving residents and guests through Principles of Service
  • contribute to engagement programs and surveys
  • attend meetings including Town Hall, Department Team, and others
  • maintain compliance in all required training
  • perform other duties as assigned
