Job Description

This role is essential as it represents the first point of contact for residents, guests, and employees, setting the tone for their experience at the community. The Concierge will provide high-level hospitality and a polished, welcoming atmosphere through exceptional service and communication. Responsibilities include managing front desk duties like answering phones with courteous greetings and directing visitors properly, ensuring proper procedures for entry and exit are followed, and maintaining a neat and clean lobby and front porch area. Additionally, the Concierge supports activities in the lobby, particularly during weekend and evening hours when traffic is lighter, and assists with general office tasks as needed.\n\nThis position demands a caring heart and a desire to serve others, alongside strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Experience working with older adults is preferred, as this role requires sensitivity and an understanding of the senior population's unique needs. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic, often interrupted setting are critical for success. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts within a 24-hour operation, including weekends and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Must have a caring heart willing to serve others
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years general office experience including reception experience
  • Experience working with older adult population preferred
  • Professional and polished with proper grammar skills and pleasant voice tone
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management and oral/written skills
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Attentive to details able to multi-task and work with multiple interruptions
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedules in 24-hour operation including weekends and holidays as requested

Job Duties

  • Offer high level hospitality to all residents, guests and employees, act as the first impression
  • Fulfill front desk responsibilities including answering the phone courteously with proper greetings and direct visitors appropriately to ensure proper in/out procedures
  • Ensure that lobby and front porch areas are clean and free of trash
  • Assist with activities conducted in the lobby near phone and front door and lead weekend/evening activities when less traffic occurs
  • Assist with other general office tasks upon request
