This particular role is for a Concierge position reporting directly to the Business Office Manager. It is an hourly, non-exempt role essential to the community’s operations as the Concierge serves as the first point of contact for visitors and residents alike. The Concierge is charged with greeting visitors, arranging tours, answering a multi-line telephone system, and offering various clerical supports to the administrative team. This position is integral to the community's mission of delivering seamless, professional, and courteous services to all guests and residents. The job requires a balance of interpersonal skills, administrative aptitude, and a caring approach suitable for interacting with seniors and their families.

The Concierge plays a critical role in enhancing the community’s marketing efforts through positive interaction during tours and phone communication. This role supports the day-to-day office operations by managing mail services, maintaining the reception area, and assisting with dining room services as needed. The ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, client-focused environment with warmth and professionalism is crucial. Furthermore, safety standards are emphasized, and the Concierge must promote a safe work environment for colleagues, residents, and visitors.

The position demands physical capabilities including standing and walking for extended periods, lifting, carrying, and moving objects up to 25 pounds, bending, squatting, and the ability to hear and communicate effectively. Job Duties

  • Greet visitors seeking information about the property
  • Be responsive to the needs of people who inquire about the property and/or who are in the building for meetings with administrative personnel
  • Direct visitors to appropriate office or resident apartment
  • Assist residents, family members, and guests with general requests
  • Arrange tours of the property for individuals making spontaneous visits or those with scheduled appointments
  • Answer telephones, record and channel information
  • Display knowledge of the services, programs, and pertinent information regarding the property
  • Handle mail meter, stamps, copying, and other office tasks
  • Process incoming mail and distribute it to mailboxes
  • Maintain reception area neat and orderly
  • Ensure reception desk and lobby have current property literature and refreshments
  • Perform clerical duties for property staff as directed
  • Provide assistance in dining room serving resident meals when requested
  • Support marketing efforts through positive interaction during tours and calls
  • Communicate any observed or suspected resident condition changes to supervisors immediately
  • Maintain a safe work environment following safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork and cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments
  • Support a positive and professional image through actions and dress
  • Perform other duties as assigned
