The Concierge role at Sunrise of Troy acts as the vital first point of contact, shaping the initial impression of the community to all visitors, residents, and prospective families. This position involves a blend of customer service, administrative support, and operational assistance to ensure seamless communication and a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities range from greeting guests warmly and managing visitor inquiries to supporting the Director of Sales and Executive Director in community recruitment and resident engagement processes. The Concierge manages reception duties, communication flow including answering calls promptly, coordinating appointments, and providing essential information about community offerings. The role also includes light hospitality tasks such as maintaining the Bistro area with refreshments and ambiance to create a pleasant environment. Beyond these, the Concierge assists in sales and marketing activities by preparing move-in materials, handling initial inquiries, and supporting lead tracking efforts. Risk management and safety are key aspects, requiring vigilance in following and promoting compliance with safety protocols and emergency procedures. Job Requirements
- High school degree or GED
- Proven customer service experience
- Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office and relevant applications
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to follow safety regulations and use PPE as required
- Ability to respond to emergency situations as outlined by policies
- Committed to team participation and engagement activities
- Ability to perform administrative and receptionist duties efficiently
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or GED
- Proven customer service experience and skills
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications with the ability to learn new software
- Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through capabilities
- Accurate record-keeping and good judgment skills

Job Duties
- Oversee the community entry area for visitors, guests, and residents and extend a warm welcome and greeting
- Contact the Director of Sales, Executive Director, or Department Coordinator to meet with prospective residents, families, or visitors and ensure wait times are minimal
- Greet potential candidates interested in careers and direct them to apply online or capture candidate information for recruitment
- Answer incoming telephone and resident calls promptly with the appropriate greeting and identification
- Take complete messages and communicate them to the intended recipients
- Offer and provide community overview to callers, direct calls appropriately, and notify callers of their transfer
- Manage appointments for residents and family members such as hairdresser and transportation
- Send get well and sympathy cards and order Memory Flowers as appropriate
- Order flowers and name plates for new residents prior to move-in and guest meals for resident and family on move-in day
- Create and maintain marketing and move-in packet inventory
- Assist with Customer Relationship Management and other administrative duties related to resident move-in
- Keep desk and entry area neat and organized and monitor Bistro area cleanliness, refreshments, and music
- Partner with team to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote risk management programs
- Respond to emergencies and maintain resident and team member rosters and work schedules for emergency procedures
- Update daily resident phone list, move-in and move-out register, and guest sign-in logs
- Prepare and process meal tickets and collect monies per business controls
- Organize and distribute mail and community newspapers
- Monitor and order office supplies
- Track and disperse team member paychecks
- Actively participate in team engagement activities and complete required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude and strong communication and organizational skills
